I thought I would pop on with a quick update as I know I have been VERY quiet for the past few months. I realise that my 365 project quickly fell by the wayside, but I have good reasons, honest!
The first bit of important news is that we’ve not only moved house, but we’ve moved area too. We’ve finally returned to my beloved Derbyshire. I’m still close enough to Sheffield so that if you live there and would like to book a photoshoot I can come to you, but I can also cover further south too. We’re living near Matlock and it’s lovely being back in the countryside.
Unfortunately a week after we moved I slipped (while in a cave) and broke my ankle. Four hours later the amazing cave rescue chaps got me out, but it’s taken a couple of months for me to recover and I haven’t been mobile enough for photography.
My final bit of news (and excuse for being absent!) is that I’ve been busy growing a human being, baby number 6 is due in about 5 weeks time, so all other plans have gone on the back burner a bit.
It won’t be long until I’m back, so if you’re interested in some family photos do get in touch. I’ve missed this!
I will leave you with a couple of pictures of my smallest child taken in the garden this morning, honestly, toddlers are so adorable.
We popped in to see my lovely friend, Sandra, who lives in Derbyshire today. We had a little walk with the dogs, it was lovely to catch up. We hope to move back to the area soon and it will be so lovely to live near my friend again.
When you’re doing your 365 project and you’re just about to go to bed, but realise you haven’t taken any photos. What should you do? Take a picture from where you are sitting of course!
My eldest boy had a party for his 18th, his little brothers were very excited about it and helped to blow up some balloons (and then happily watched DVDs in our room while the party was on).
It’s great having kids that will help by playing fetch with the dog!
The other day our dog rolled in pink spray pain at the park, we’d been thinking for a while that he needed to go and be groomed so the paint incident forced us into doing it as it wasn’t coming off easily. He had a clip and looks like a different dog! When I brought him home my 3 year old kept saying “where’s the other Kai?”
Happily playing Teach Your Monsters to Read on my laptop, while his brothers look on.
It’s been an emotional week, my eldest son turned 18 and I can’t quite get my head round the fact that he’s an adult. I took him and his girlfriend to London, we stayed overnight and in the morning took a trip to the new Leicester Square Lego shop. I think you can see from this picture how much he loved it! His dad met us there (he lives on the south coast) and then we all went for lunch. In the afternoon we went to the Star Wars Identities exhibition at the 02. It was funny being there as the last time my ex-husband and I were there was in the Millennium year for the big exhibition thing, at that time our boy was a baby! We had a lovely day, even though it’s taken me days to recover from the trip.
We had a bit of a get together with some friends, I cooked a roast dinner and all the kids were happy playing. My son’s girlfriend came over too as we were heading off to London in the afternoon. I managed to snap a quick photo of her before we left.
